Hammons Hotels & Resorts lead hotel operations in their respective regions to protect the company’s assets and maintain established cost and quality standards to ensuring superior guest services and maximize profits for the company.  These dedicated professionals are regional stewards of one of the best hotel portfolios in the country.  They maintain oversight of a wide array of high-end upscale, select service and extended stay brands such as Marriott, Renaissance, Courtyard, Residence Inn, Hilton, Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn and Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Sheraton, Radisson, and Ramada, as well as Capitol Plaza, the company’s own signature independent brand, and our resort properties.  Each Regional Vice President brings to the organization a wealth of knowledge about the hospitality industry and each of our market areas, with special emphasis on hotel administration & operations, convention center management, and financial planning with strategic analysis of asset performance, sales/revenue generation initiatives, and future goals.

 Tony Moody – Regional Vice President

Tony Moody joined John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts in 1994 as general manager, managing and opening hotels for Mr. Hammon’s including the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center,  Hampton Inn & Suites,  Embassy Suites Little Rock, Arkansas, Embassy Suites Omaha – La Vista, the La Vista Conference Center and Courtyard by Marriott Omaha – La Vista.  Mr. Moody has 27+ years in the hotel industry and been at 13 different hotels most recently as the General Manager of the La Vista Complex boasting 503 rooms, 82,000 square foot conference center and over 250 employees.  His superior management and dedication to perfection has resulted in Embassy Suites Omaha-La Vista  winning the #1 Embassy Suites in the World for TQS (Quality & Service) in 2009, 2010 and 2011.     Mr. Moody is active in community involvement and encourages his hotel teams to do the same.  His ability to identify individual strengths within his general managers to maximize team performance and increase overall profitability makes him an excellent addition the regional team.

Bob Niehaus – Regional Vice President

Beginning his association with John Q. Hammons in 1975, Bob Niehaus served as Regional Vice President with the Winegardner-Hammons organization until his appointment in 1990 as Regional Vice President for John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts.  Whether he is strategically planning sales & marketing initiatives, overseeing facilities management and asset protection, or ensuring exceptional guest service experiences, Mr. Niehaus is passionate about the hospitality industry and shares that passion with his team of general managers, consistently delivering a balanced scorecard throughout his region.

John Pasley – Regional Vice President

John Pasley was initially hired as a general manager in 2000; and recognizing his talents, the company promoted him to Regional Vice President in 2005.  Mr. Pasley’s unique ability to motivate his team members leads them to achieve superior results in revenue management, brand recognition, and stellar guest satisfaction scores while focusing on an exceptional associate culture.  Mr. Pasley infuses his team with the same ingenuity, vision and dedication responsible for his having received multiple honors in the hospitality industry.  Several of the hotels under his guidance consistently win top awards from their respective brands for their excellence.

Mark Wasiak – Regional Vice President

Originally hired as General Manager in 2003, Mark Wasiak was promoted to Regional Vice President in 2008, and directs his general manager team with innovative strategies for reaching or exceeding objectives of maximum operational efficiency, strong productivity/profitability, and ensuring our guests enjoy the best facilities, amenities and service.  His active involvement in many professional hospitality organizations not only provides the company with a voice in those forums, but increases our knowledge of individual markets and industry trends.  Mr. Wasiak has a unique talent for maintaining protocol and yet engaging his general managers in the type of brainstorming sessions that create a cohesive team with focused direction.
