Hammons Hotels & Resorts (JQH) today announced that Misty Williams has advanced to director of sales at the company’s Embassy Suites by Hilton Huntsville Hotel & Spa in Alabama. Williams previously served as a sales manager at the upscale, 295-suite hotel connected via skybridge to the Von Braun Center. With more than 13 years of hospitality experience, primarily in Huntsville, Williams will supervise this TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame hotel’s sales and marketing team. Prior to joining JQH in 2015 as a sales manager of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Huntsville, Williams served as an area director of sales for DoubleTree Suites by Hilton and for Hampton Inn & Suites in Huntsville. Her hospitality career also includes roles as a director of sales with the Courtyard by Marriott Huntsville and as a sales and marketing director for the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Hampton Cove in Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. She also served as a marketing and public relations director at New Hope Telephone Cooperative in New Hope, Alabama, where she focused on special event coordination and community engagement. Williams is a member of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Executives (HSME) − Huntsville, including serving as a past board member and a secretary for 2017. She is also a member of the Huntsville – Madison County Hospitality Association and the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County. Williams received a Bachelor of Science in marketing from University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama.
